Use the Image with content split section to combine a full-height feature image with promotional messaging and a call to action. With a flexible layout and optional content blocks, it's a great way to highlight a product collection or introduce something new and exciting.
Add this section to any template (except Checkout) and use the drag-and-drop handles to re-order its position. You can add this section multiple times with different content and settings.
Editing a template changes all pages that use that template. To edit specific pages, you can you can create new templates or insert dynamic content with metafields.
The Image with content split has three default content blocks: Heading, Text, and Button. You can edit or remove these blocks and add 7 other types of blocks to customize the section’s content and layout.

Accent
Add text to display a small heading above the main heading.
Heading
Add text to display as a heading.
Text
Add multiple lines of rich text.

Add a column of promotional text with icons.

Add a small image with an adjustable size.
Button
Add a button link with call-to-action text.
Video player
Add a video that visitors can click to play in a popup viewer.
Divider
Add a border to visually separate other blocks.
Spacer
Add a margin of space between blocks.
Image width
Change the width of the image as a percentage of the section width (on desktop): between 30% and 60%.
Desktop image position
Choose to display the featured image either Left of content or Right of content on desktop screens.
Mobile image position
Choose to display the featured image either Above content or Below content on mobile screens.
Image
Select an image to display as the feature image.
There are no required image dimensions. We recommend a minimum width or height of 2500px.
Image aspect ratio
Choose to crop the primary image to a uniform shape. Select Portrait (2:3), Portrait (4:5), Square (1:1), Landscape (5:4), or Landscape (3:2). Select Natural to display images in their original shape (without cropping). Learn more about aspect ratios in our Image settings guide.
Image focal point
Select the most important part of the image to keep centered. Use focal points to avoid unwanted cropping across different screen sizes. You can specify a focal point for an image used within a section or for an uploaded image file. Learn more in our Image settings guide.
Content width
Display the section at Full width or use the slider to set a custom width
Custom width
Set the maximum width of the section: between 400 and 800 pixels. The section will change in size to fit smaller screen sizes.
Alignment
Choose to align headings, buttons, and content blocks to either the Left, Center, or Right within the section.
Color scheme
Change the color scheme applied to the section text and background. Select the Default color scheme from your theme settings or select a variant scheme based on the default colors: either Inverse, Soft, Accent, or Sale. You may also select one of the two custom color schemas.

Override with custom colors
Check this option to apply custom colors to the section.
These colors will override the color scheme.
Text color
Select a custom color for all text in the section header.
This setting applies only if the Override with custom colors option is enabled.
Background color
Select a custom color for the section background.
This setting applies only if the Override with custom colors option is enabled.
Top spacing
Increase or decrease the amount of space above the section.
Bottom spacing
Increase or decrease the amount of space below the section.
Enable animation
Choose whether to display visual effects when scrolling, hovering, or interacting with the section. See the Animation guide to learn more.
