Rich text

The Rich text section adds a single full-width block of text to your home page. This section also includes an optional call to action button. It looks great between two image-focused sections.

Add a rich text section to your home page

To set up a rich text section:

From your theme’s “Customize” screen, choose Home page from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Scroll down the list of home page settings until you see the Add section button.
Choose Rich text from the list of sections, and press the Add button.
Choose the Style for the section, either Default or Contrast.

If you select Contrast, this section uses Lorenza’s contrast colors.
Add a Small heading, Heading, and Text.

You can make parts of the text bold or italic. You can also add links.
(Optional.) Add a Link and Link text.

This link is displayed as a call to action button underneath your text.
Choose a text Alignment for this section, either Left or Center.
Use the Text max width slider to limit the maximum width of the text.

If your text just doesn’t quite “look right” on the page, you can adjust how wide the paragraph(s) are displayed at maximum.
Use the Back to settings (<) button to go back to all of the home page settings again. Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of your home page sections:
Use the Save button in the top-right corner when you are finished editing.

Settings

The rich text section has the following settings:

Style: Choose a section style, either Default or Contrast. This affects the colors of the current section.
Small heading: Add small heading text to be displayed above the heading.
We recommend keeping this to a word or two long.
Heading: Add heading text to be displayed.
We recommend keeping this to only a few words long.
Text: Add text to be displayed below the heading text.
You can make parts of the text bold or italic. You can also add links.
Link: Choose a page from your store to be link to from the section’s call to action button.
Link text: Add text to be used on the call to action button.
Alignment: Choose how the text in this section should be aligned. Either Left or Center.
Max width of text: Change how wide the text can be at a maximum.
This makes your text paragraph(s) narrower or wider depending on how long your text is.
