# Home page

Template

The **Home page** is the first page that visitors see on your online store.In the theme editor, you can customize the content and layout of your page by [using sections](/eclipse/sections/overview/section-styles.md).

The home page uses styles from your theme settings. We suggest selecting site-wide colors and fonts in the [theme settings](/eclipse/theme-settings/theme-settings.md) before adding and customizing individual sections.

## Default layout

Shopify themes can only include a single default layout. Eclipse's default template is based on the [Journey demo store](https://themes.shopify.com/themes/eclipse/styles/journey/preview).

If you've purchased the theme, you can [add template code from the other demo stores](/eclipse/pages/demo-layouts.md).

The demos provide just a few examples of how to use the theme. When you download Eclipse, you have access to all the same sections, regardless of your current theme style.
