The Image with text section combines a feature image with a marketing call to action block. With a flexible layout and optional button, it's a great way to introduce a product collection or something new and exciting.
Add this section to any template (except Checkout) and use the drag-and-drop handles to re-order its position. You can add this section multiple times with different content and settings.
Editing a template changes all pages that use that template. To edit specific pages, you can create new templates or insert dynamic content with metafields
Upload a feature image to display on the left or right of the marketing text block. You can adjust the image position, shape, and focal point, and also add an image caption.
The Small image overlays the bottom corner of the feature image. The small image is about 1/4 of the size of the feature, creating a layered, editorial style. It's great for a close-up or detailed photo of your product.
Add a short video that customers can click to play within the section. You need to upload a .mp4 video to your Shopify admin and copy the link into your theme editor settings.
File size
Maximum 10MB (recommended)
Duration
5 - 10 seconds (recommended)
Note | The autoplay video does not play audio. To embed a single video from YouTube or Vimeo with audio, see the Video section.
Once you've added your video, you can add a Preview image, adjust the shape (Aspect ratio), and customize the "Watch now" button.
Add a section title and promotional text to overlay your feature image. The section headings are included as blocks nested within the section.
Add multiple Button blocks to link to your collections or products or any other page with a custom label.
Fine-tune the colors, text position, and padding of the section. You can also add design blocks like the Spacer and Border to refine the look. Click (+) Add block and use the drag handles to move the blocks where you need them.
